I realized after wearing THE jeans to the park the reason we have high-waisted, overall unattractive jeans. They work (aka cover your backside) when you need to lean WAY down and pick up your screaming toddler, her two shovels, and bucket at the park. Skinnies, while in style, are slightly less effective. Ooops. Sorry other more practical moms at the park, please forgive me for the skin you weren't supposed to see.

Makes sense... maybe wear an extra layer under your shirt, and tuck it in? That way you can still wear your skinnys and be modest ;)
