We just got back from our last minute trip to Arizona. We had an awesome time...but holy cow it was hot. Unbelievably hot. I was amazed that the absence of the sun did nothing to the temperature. Incredible. Also, here are the major happenings.
1. We drove for 11 hours while Michael slept.
2. We played with Lincoln's sisters.
3. Suann (mom-in-law) and I went to a cooking class and learned how to make whole wheat cinnamon rolls. We made some and they were yum.
4. We celebrated our first anniversary. We went out to eat, watched a movie, and loved it. This weekend we're going to a condo in SLC to really rock out to our year milestone...but a night out was still a blast.

Last night we saw the movie above at Rock Canyon Park on a huge blow up screen. There are movies in the park every Monday in August at about 9pm...and it's free. It was cold. It was fun. We didn't study. Win win win.
We went to a work bbq and I doubled this recipe and made enough pasta to feed a third world country. So we have been giving a ton of it away. In other exciting food news we made some steak pitas which were new and fun.

We went to the zoo and it was so much fun...we even saw real cougs (raw raw raw BYU!).
Also we went to a bees game and Anders our cousin came. The game closed with a fireworks show that had "Coming to America" playing along...Dewlin and I sang it out loud and proud. (Our Dad blasts "Coming to America" "Forever in Blue Jeans" in his car all the time.) These pictures are from back in July but hey we love it.
