A day in the life...

So later I can look back on my one-baby days and be grateful.

6:50 AM - Lincoln kisses me goodbye while I'm half asleep. (He walks 1 mile to BART...sweetie)

8:00 AM - Good morning sunshine. Change diaper #1 and snuggle.
Breakfast, clean-up, check email, etc.

9:30 AM - Nappie #1 (which includes nursing and watching Ina cook!)

Livvy wakes up usually after 30-45 minutes then we're off to the grocery store, Target, or some other place outside of our four walls.

Lunch and playtime, laundry, cleaning time for me =)

1:00 PM- Nappie #2, while she sleeps I try to get work done sans bebe.

3:00 PM - Walkie talkie (as my mom likes to call it). Livvy and I head off to our favorite park in Walnut Creek. Sometimes Livvy falls asleep there but other times we come home and she takes nappie #3.

5:00 PM - Start making dinner or prepping to make dinner.

7:00 PM - Lincoln gets home (pre-busy season time of course)

8:30-9 PM - Livvy starts going down for the night (if the Fates are smiling at me)

10:00 PM - Lincoln gets home (currently)

11ish - Bedtime which for me seems like "going to battle" time as we are getting the turkey out of our bed and into her own.

I love finally having a routine and am still in the process of adjusting it to last me an extra few hours without the hubs. I love spending my days with the baby and finding new ways to keep myself feeling productive and sometimes even creative. Liv is the best friend to have around.

I'm a hound dog.

The other day I flipped on the TV and "The Fox and The Hound" was on the Disney channel. Livvy sat and watched it for a good 20 minutes and so did I. I love me a good old disney classic and can't wait till Livvy wants to watch them.

On another note the sun has been shining and Livvy and I have been out walking a ton lately. I love California at the brink of spring. We stayed at the parentals a few days to help out with the kids and there is nothing better than a nice, sunny day in Danville.

When did this happen?

Livvy is getting so old so fast. I love her at every stage, but I feel like it's all going by too fast.

Love Tank.

Liv is really into breathing in and out her nose while making this face. She's 8 months this week and gets cuter and more fun by the minute.

So I recently read The Five Love Languages mostly because I have noticed that Lincoln and I are on total different wave lengths lately. Welp, the book confirmed it...I'm a Babbling Brook (everything that comes into my eyes and ears comes out my mouth) and I married a Resevoir (everything that comes into his eyes and ears stays there).

Apparently this coupling of Brooks and Resevoirs is normal because everyone's happy: I get to talk and he gets to "reserve". After reading about what we already knew about our personalities, we learned our primary love languages. There are five languages and everyone primarily speaks one (meaning if they didn't have this they wouldn't feel loved).

The chapter about love language numero 2 "Quality Time" was like reading a book written about my conversations with Lincoln. I am that to a T. Lincoln was harder to peg but after taking the quiz he is "Words of Affirmations".

Rats. I am going to have to get mushy gushy and positive. I'm hoping to make some big improvements in the coming months...and years=).

Lincoln is still reading the love book, but we both think it's pretty dang darn good. I'll keep you posted on the Love Tank gauge. One thing is certain, Livvy's a 10 out of 10 most days.

A good read.

Lincoln's sweet mom is known for always having a book in her hand. Whenever we go to Arizona we end up finding wonderful books. This last vacation we both read Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story (a really good book about a world famous neurologist who grew up in the ghetto).

However, this book doesn't compare to the book we brought home with us: The Hiding Place.

The book is written by a Christian concentration camp survivor who hid Jews. The story is incredible and really left me feeling so inspired and grateful for God's hand in His Children's lives.

If you're looking for a good book...I definitely recommend it.

We're back!

We enjoyed hanging out with everyone and playing way too much Rook. Livvy's cousin Leah (3) was so fun to see and play with. She was always asking me "What does she (Livvy) want?" I loved seeing her and her two cute brothers, Parker and Zach.

Now we're back to the ol' grind. Though, I am glad to be able to do my laundry and read to my baby in our little house. Thankfully we have some time before busy season hits...
