For all you non-believers.

Here is the protruding belly (after a hearty meal). I am 18 weeks today...only 2 more weeks till we find out if the babe is a boy or a girl! Can't wait!

Livvy occasionally says "Hi Mommy's Baby!" and puts her face to my belly. Today in church she decided the baby wanted to talk....but thankfully I was able to hold my shirt down during the High Council's talk. =)

The other day I asked her what was in Mommy's belly and she said "Mommy's Baby", followed quickly by a "See baby!" "See baby!" I think we're both thinking August can't come soon enough.

The mom job.

Boss: Livvy

Job description: Change diapers, clean messy faces, wipe runny noses, deal with the boss when she doesn't want to do what you want her to do, have snacks on hand at all times, hold the boss on demand, kiss owies, pretend to be a dog with boss, play dress up, color snowmen with "two eyes", read the baby book 200 times a day, let boss push the shopping cart in Target, and answer boss when asked "What's that?" every two seconds.

A good read...

I loved this book! It is very Jane Austen-ish and keeps you guessing until the very last chapter. The heroine is a strong character and one that is easy to like. I love having a book to read and over the past few days have been totally engrossed. The only problem in reading it so much is that now it is over and I have to find another book.

I love reading a good book. It makes me stay up too late and probably ignore other demands on my time but it is a great escape from everything.

We are officially entering busy season, so I'm determined to try to read more and not get sucked into watching LAME T.V. shows late at night.

Any recommendations?

The sweetest.

V-day was sweet this year. No, I didn't get the dozen roses, but he DID make me breakfast (at 6:15 AM) and bring it to me in bed. And we stayed home and had a fun date night with a fancy dinner and a movie. I think I just loved that he did something thoughtful and sweet for me. =) Sometimes I don't realize how easy it is to make someone feel loved. That kid gets me every time.

Seeing Lincoln as a dad just makes me love him 89786654637 times more.

Lincoln begs to hold Livvy at night when he gets home late...I always say NO! You'll wake the poor, sick bub. And he doesn't hold her. But last night he came into bed and said that he went in and stroked her hair.

(Sigh)

He really is my knight in shining glasses. =)

We are Senior Citizens.

1.) We played Scrabble last weekend and we were so into it we played three games and were inches away from a heated argument over the correctness of using foreign words on the board.

2.) We play cards every weekend, multiple times and we cannot stop it. Our favorite game is Pinochle. Our pillow talk includes analyzing the previous card game.

3.) I was so excited about the game we had last night I retold the "craziest" hand story to two different people today. Thankfully those two people are family and share in the excitement.

4.) We were asleep at 9:30 pm on Friday night.

I am 23, but I am at least 65.

Mommy and Baby Snowmen

Livvy makes everything a mommy and a baby. Balls, cups, ducks, and snowmen. This is mommy and baby snowmen version 2.0 including hats, noses and eyes that met the boss's standard of snowmen excellence.

So I've hit my 11 weeks and we've entered the leave-the-pants-unbuttoned phase. I'm pretty sure with Livvy this didn't hit me until I was seriously like 18 weeks. Second baby, I guess.

The other day I was walking up to the house after church and about halfway to the door realized that I had undone my skirt and it was quickly falling down. Thankfully I looked down and noticed otherwise I probably would have walked all the way inside with only my tights on =). Maybe I should bust out the maternity clothes...

On a more up beat note...one of our friends gave us a sweet glider/ottoman and a toddler bed! I am SO excited. I love feeling like I'm getting stuff ready for this little baby and for Big Sis...even if we still have a LONG time to wait.

Livvy continues to be cute and demanding and sweet. She is back to sleep trained....and doesn't make a peep when I leave her at night...except to say "I lauuv you!" and the occasional "See ya!" I love that cute kid.
